Hallbankgate Hub

Set in Farlam Parish in the North Pennines, Hallbankgate Hub came into being when the community came together in 2015 to save the village shop from permanent closure. Throughout its long and eventful history, the old shop was a lifeline to many in good times and bad. As the Hub, it remains an integral part of village life today. The Hub is more than a shop and offers a variety of additional services for the community and for the visitor. Come and visit – we hope to see you soon!

Local Area

Situated on the A689 between Brampton and Alston and within the parish of Farlam in the north eastern corner of Cumbria, Hallbankgate is a great jumping off point for Hadrian’s Wall and is a perfect spot to walk or cycle and savour the beautiful landscapes, wildlife and mining heritage of the North Pennines

How To Find Us

The Hub is situated at the end of the lane opposite the pub called the Belted Will Inn. There is parking in front of the village green and some limited parking for wheelchair access beside the Hub.
