Located a short walk from Hadrian’s Wall, Abbey Farm House Bed & Breakfast is the ideal base to explore the region’s rich history. Our dog-friendly farmhouse offers 6 ensuite rooms, each blending period charm with modern comforts. We can accommodate up to 12 people. Abbey Farm House has been fully refurbished and now includes log burners, new floors and carpets alongside the period character features. There are two lounges at Abbey Farm House – a quiet room for reading and route planning and a second featuring card and board games and a TV. Guests are invited to relax in our lounges, explore the gardens, and enjoy Charlotte’s fascinating tales over breakfast.

Abbey Farm House is located a stone’s throw from Lanercost Priory, one of the best-preserved historical sites in the UK. The 13th Century Abbey has played a key part in Britain’s history, notably during the Anglo-Scottish wars while this was where King Edward 1 spent his final five months.
And of course, there’s Hadrian’s Wall, the 73-mile wall that stretches across England and dates back to AD122. Abbey Farm House is a short walk from where the historic wall now starts, making it the ideal base for exploring one of the UK’s best-loved sites.
